Box Making, 25-26 July 2026
Box Making, 25-26 July 2026
A two-day introduction to woodworking through one of its oldest and most satisfying forms.
A box is a complete object. It has a base, sides, a lid, and a way of joining them together. Small enough to finish in a day or two, demanding enough to teach you something real about wood, tools and joinery. And at the end you have something useful that you made yourself.
This two-day workshop explores four approaches to box construction: a butt jointed box, a rebated box using the router table, a mitred box on the mitre saw, and a bandsawn box cut from a solid piece. You will not necessarily make all four, the workshop responds to where you are and what interests you.
